Current corona regulations in the casino
With the aim of limiting the spread of the coronavirus to a manageable level and following the recommendations of health authorities, the Robert Koch Institute and the service authorities, normal canteen and catering operations at the KIT sites are restricted.
In the casino as well as in the bistro, access is prohibited for persons who are or have been in contact with a person infected with the coronavirus if 14 days have not elapsed since the last contact or if they show typical symptoms of an infection with the coronavirus, namely fever, dry cough, disturbance of the sense of taste or smell, and if they do not wear a mouth-nose covering.
What is the status of the Bistro and Casino at the North Campus?
For the operation of the casino at KIT Campus North, the currently valid Corona Ordinance applies; § 16 para. 2 and para. 4 of the CoronaVO of the State of BW in the version valid since 14.08.2021.
The data collection of the guests is carried out according to § 6 of the CoronaVO of the state BW in the version valid since 14.08.2021. For this purpose we use the KONKIT system of the SCC until further notice. All information about this system can be found here: https://www.kon.kit.edu/index.php.
Please note that access for external guests is only possible upon presentation of a negative test, proof of vaccination or proof of recovery.
Opening hours are from 11:30 am to 2 pm. The table order will be rearranged so that the distance rule of 1.5 metres can be observed during meals - both between tables and within a table with two seats facing each other. We ask you to respect the prescribed seating arrangement and not to change it arbitrarily.
Before taking out the cutlery, please disinfect your hands. Disinfectant dispensers are available for this purpose at the cutlery counter.
Please also keep a sufficient distance on the walkways, in front of the food counters, cash registers and dish returns. Wearing a mouth-nose covering (FFP-2 or surgical mask) is obligatory for all persons in the entire building. This may only be removed at the table and for taking food.
Unfortunately, the new seating arrangement only allows about one third of the usual number of seats. In order to nevertheless give as many colleagues as possible the opportunity to eat outside their immediate workplace, we also ask that more use be made of the marginal times of the canteen opening hours for the lunch break and that the time spent in the dining hall be limited to half an hour. Where appropriate, access to the dining hall at peak times will be regulated.
Food for consumption away from home (take-away food or take-away) can be packaged for transport at the food counters as usual if requested.Data processing is not required for takeaway-only and out-of-home sales of beverages and food.
The Bistro at Campus North opens on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in restricted operation in accordance with the Corona Ordinance of the State of Baden-Württemberg and analogous to other shopping locations: Wearing a private everyday mask in the Bistro is mandatory in accordance with the Corona Ordinance. Please adhere to the distance requirement of 1.5 meters in the bistro.
